Join the Richmond Jewish Community and friends of all faiths from across Greater Richmond as we join together in unity and support for members of the Tree of Life Congregation and the Pittsburgh community after the horrific and tragic violence perpetrated on Saturday, October 27th, 2018. We mourn with those families, and send comfort to all affected by acts of terror and hate.
Please join us on Tuesday October 30th at 7pm, at the Weinstein JCC, 5403 Monument Ave, Richmond. We will come together in prayer and song to express our sorrow, share condolence, and find comfort in the bonds of community.
Carpooling is encouraged as parking will be limited. We plan to be outdoors, so dress appropriately for evening weather. There will be limited seating. Feel free to bring your own chair.
An act of terror against one house of worship is an attack on ALL houses of worship. As Jews, we are sadly too familiar with acts of anti-semitism and viciousness directed against us. We know we are united with those of all backgrounds and faiths who choose understanding, inclusion and respect over bigotry, bullying and violence.
JFS Richmond is making our counselors available for support for individuals or groups struggling with the events in Pittsburgh. Please contact 804-282-5644.
