We are thrilled to announce that Lights of Love is returning for a third year! The program is designed to help bring holiday warmth and joy to our neighbors who need it, and every year Lights of Love has grown. Last winter, generous friends and donors helped us brighten the season for more than 100 adults, seniors, families, and children in foster care!
Lights of Love will begin on September 24 and run until November 15 to accommodate an early Hanukkah. You can participate both virtually and in-person again this year, either by visiting the giant menorah in the foyer of the Weinstein JCC or going online to . Each paper flame hanging from the menorah – or listed on the website – will include a short list of items requested by a JFS client. Your part is simple: pick a flame, go shopping, and then return the gifts unwrapped to either the JCC or JFS by November 15! (You can find complete instructions posted by the menorah and on the digital form.)
JFS is profoundly grateful to everyone who has helped make Lights of Love a success for the past two years, and to everyone joining in for the first time this winter! Thank you so much for making Lights of Love part of your Hanukkah tradition! For more information about Lights of Love, please contact Teresa Baldwin at tbaldwin@jfsrichmond.org.
