November 1st to December 5th!
For 4 consecutive years Lights of Love has spread more and more joy at the holidays, thanks to you! Again this year, we are looking forward to bringing joy and happiness to those who may otherwise feel lonely and forgotten during the winter holidays. Through your generosity, over 150 children, adults, seniors, and families will receive holiday gifts! Thank you for helping us spread the light and love even further.
How It Works
From November 1st to December 5th, JFS’ giant menorah will be in the foyer of the Weinstein JCC. You’ll find paper flames hanging nearby, each with a wishlist and some details about the person or family printed on the back. Simply take a flame and include them in your holiday shopping. Then bring the gifts – unwrapped! – back to the JCC before December 5!
Wrapping Parties
Do you like wrapping? Once the gifts are collected, our team will host festive “wrapping parties” the following week to put on the finishing touches. Gifts will be delivered during the week of Hannukah!
JFS staff spends time throughout the year getting to know their clients: what makes them smile, their favorite meals, and learning what might make the holidays extra special for them, so the gifts are truly personalized. When JFS volunteers and staff drop off gifts, many stay to visit.
