Melissa Bunce, LCSW. My passion is working with children and their families in times of family instability and crisis. Utilizing solution-focused techniques, family systems theories, and a strengths perspective, I strive to help my clients work through their presenting issues and reach a place of calm and control. Jill Campbell, LCSW. I work with children, adolescents, and families, helping them work through issues such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), defiant behavior, anger, depression, anxiety, and trauma.
Jessica Carty, LCSW. I facilitate a support group called “Meeting the Parenting Challenge” for parents who have adopted. I  work with clients to help them reach their parenting and family goals. In addition, I work with pregnant women as well as clients who have grief and loss issues surrounding infertility. I enjoy working with families, couples, and children, with a special focus on relationships. Sydney Fleischer, Ph.D., LCSW. I practice from a solution-focused perspective, but also like to help clients understand what in their past made them vulnerable to their current difficulties. I specialize in relationship issues and coping with cancer. I periodically co-facilitate, with an attorney, a one-session, free workshop on “Meeting the Challenge of Divorce”. As the Chief Operating Officer at JFS, my work is a mix of a small counseling caseload, program development, and administration.
Ellen Glass, LCSW. I work with individuals, couples/families, and groups using a multi-theoretical approach, depending on the different types of personal difficulty and the uniqueness of each client and their situation. My focus is on the client-counselor relationship where I provide a safe environment of mutuality, respect, and acceptance. I assist clients in identifying and utilizing their strengths, and I believe each client has the ability to grow and reach his or her full potential. I currently facilitate coping with divorce groups, grief groups, and support groups for adults with developmental disabilities. I work with people of all ages. David Israel , Ph.D. My key areas of practice include family systems therapy, psychological evaluations, trauma therapy, hypnosis, meditation, stress reduction, and forensic psychology. I offer training to hospitals, nurses and home care staff in developing being a competent caregiver and learning how to cope with the stress of care giving. I am also an avid holistic health practitioner incorporating contemporary mind, body, and spiritual practices. I guide people to positively adapt and cope with stress and trauma, and help people increase their sense of security, self-esteem, and confidence. My clients learn mind-body stress reduction strategies to resolve anxiety and symptoms interfering with their personal and work lives.
Adele Karp, LCSW. I have experience in counseling individuals, families, groups and couples. Building upon a psychodynamic and family systems foundation, I have developed an eclectic approach and enjoy working with all ages. While identifying and enhancing individual strengths, and developing insights into family dynamics, I enjoy developing caring therapeutic relationships, which I feel is paramount to success in treatment. Deborah J. Mazzarella, Psy.D., CPRP. I have specialized experience in chronic and severe mental illness, critical incident stress debriefing, recovery education and training, HIV/AIDS counseling, PTSD, and forensic psychology. I gained experience related to military issues while serving in the U.S. Navy. In a therapeutic setting, I employ a person-centered approach based on trust and respect, and guided by the client. I practice the principles of hope, empowerment, and self-determination and will assist my clients at any stage in their recovery.
Phyllis McCafferty, LCSW. I work with a diverse range of people, concerns, and issues. In particular I have specialized in working with persons with brain disorders/mental illnesses and with their family members helping to build affirming recovery programs. My goal is to use a therapeutic path that moves my client toward health and healing as quickly as possible. One underlying theme with all people is “to look for health and build on it.” I primarily work with adults, focusing on individual issues and couples/ relationship issues. I also teach stress management workshops at JFS and for businesses. Jordan Rigby Doctoral Intern.  I work with children to test them for learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), behavioral disorders, and IQ, helping them get the help they need to succeed in school and in life. My passions are in psychological and neuropsychological testing, suicide prevention in an interdisciplinary setting, community mental health, and addiction recovery.
Zena Tulchinsky, LCSW. I am influenced by the humanistic traditions , although my interventions are drawn from several different approaches. I believe that talking with a therapist who has an accepting, empathic, and nonjudgmental approach is healing, and I work hard to build caring, intimate therapeutic relationships. I am an attentive, compassionate and sensitive therapist. I believe that therapy should help people to enhance their relationships with others. I am particularly interested in working with couples. I came to this county from Russia and understand, firsthand, the adjustment issues faced by immigrants. I am bilingual in English and Russian.
