A live webinar on key issues facing our elders and their vulnerability to this emerging disease. (3 CEU/3 Contact Hours)

This webinar will examine three issues that have surfaced in national conversations: social isolation in senior living communities, ageism, and death and dying. Three notable gerontologists will share evidence-based research and real experiences, fusing science and wisdom to help navigate this unparalleled time. This webinar is for professionals working with older adults and everyone curious about how COVID-19 impacts elders.

Social Isolation in Long Term Care during COVID-19, presented by Ellen Phipps CTRS, MSG, Executive Director of Aging Together.

Disrupt Ageism, presented by Dr. Jenny Inker, MBA, PhD, LALFA, Asst. Professor VCU Department of Gerontology, Co-Director of Assisted Living Administration.

Death and Dying in a COVID World, presented by Enid Walker Butler, MSG, CT, Volunteer Coordinator of Sentara Hospice Services of the Greater Peninsula, Adjunct Instructor VCU Department of Gerontology.

Thank you, Mark and Alex Goodstein with Goodstein Financial Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, the VCU Department of Gerontology, and the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond for co-sponsoring this event!
